A data faz alus\u00e3o \u00e0 morte de Zumbi, l\u00edder do Quilombo dos Palmares, morto em 1695, durante o per\u00edodo colonial (1500 a 1822). Com o objetivo de proporcionar uma reflex\u00e3o sobre a import\u00e2ncia do povo e da cultura africana na hist\u00f3ria do nosso Pa\u00eds, a Biblioteca Monteiro Lobato organizou atividades diferenciadas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Os alunos da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o Infantil, 1\u00b0 e 2\u00b0 anos do Ensino Fundamental &#8211; Anos Iniciais, participaram da Hora do Conto do livro <em>\u201cDandara, seus cachos e carac\u00f3is\u201d, da a<\/em>utora SUERTEGARAY, Ma\u00edra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As turmas dos 3\u00b0 anos do do Ensino Fundamental &#8211; Anos Iniciais, se divertiram e aprenderam um pouco mais sobre a cultura africana, durante a oficina de bonecas: Abayomis. Com a ajuda da equipe da Biblioteca os alunos aprenderam a confeccionar bonecas feitas com tecidos e amarra\u00e7\u00f5es. A palavra <em>abayomi<\/em> tem origem Yorub\u00e1, e costuma ser uma <em>boneca<\/em> negra. As m\u00e3es negras, acalentavam suas crian\u00e7as, fazendo bonecas para os pequenos brincarem de retalhos de tecido rasgados de suas pr\u00f3prias saias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Recebemos o escritor de literatura africana Rog\u00e9rio Andrade Barbosa, que veio contar as Lendas e F\u00e1bulas da cole\u00e7\u00e3o Bicho da \u00c1frica para os estudantes dos 4\u00ba anos do Ensino Fundamental &#8211; Anos Iniciais. Suas hist\u00f3rias s\u00e3o inspiradas nas pesquisas que realizou no tempo que morou na \u00c1frica, trabalhando como professor, vivenciando os costumes e aprendendo a amar e a admirar esse povo. Al\u00e9m de hist\u00f3rias, Rog\u00e9rio tamb\u00e9m trouxe para mostrar aos alunos um instrumento de origem africana muito antigo chamado: kalimba. Em formato de caixa, chamou muito a aten\u00e7\u00e3o das crian\u00e7as por sua sonoridade lembrar gotas de \u00e1gua, de fato este \u00e9 um instrumento que trabalha o elemento \u00e1gua em n\u00f3s, ou seja, nossas emo\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Os demais estudantes se envolveram com a programa\u00e7\u00e3o e a leitura de diferentes obras sobre essa
