Pode-se us\u00e1-la para avaliar o meio ambiente, atrav\u00e9s de esp\u00e9cies bioindicadoras, pode ser usada para controle de pragas, e at\u00e9 mesmo para saber quando um ser vivo morreu, aqui, denominada entomologia forense!
